The Forgotten Heroes: Noelle Salazar (Author of "The Flight Girls")(Ep. 24)

W.A.S.P, a U.S. military program designed for women to participate in the war effort where they perform different tasks one of which included training future male pilots, is one of the many amazing projects that women participated in during WWII that has been covered up. When Noelle Salazar uncovered these testimonies of silent bravery, she couldn't stop sharing them. She began work on her first book, "The Flight Girls," a historical fiction novel for mature audiences which is now a USA Today bestseller, a Publishers Weekly bestseller, and a Woman's World best new book.  In it, she based her main character, Audrey Coltrane, on the real-life warriors she interviewed. Listen in as we discuss the actual people that Noelle Salazar based her extraordinary characters on!
