Making Time For Life: Paul Jarvis (Author of Company of One and Entrepreneur) (Ep. 14)

Leave room for life! Mr. Paul Jarvis's message is clear. How can one run a business like that? Well, that's what Mr. Paul explains in his book, Company of One, which has been translated into 18 different languages and continues to disrupt the business world. While money is great and can get you far in life, it isn't the point. "It comes down to your ego," argues Mr. Paul. In his perspective, it sounds better if one can say he has offices in five different countries and one-thousand employees. However, in reality, one doesn't need that money to be happy. He is a living testament to this. Mr. Paul runs a successful software business that has been completely (and purposely) devoid of venture capitalist money. Earn enough money to do what you find fun and can pay the bills. Growth for Growth’s sake isn't the point.
